The “Solo Art Series” is a series of monthly solo art exhibitions for established artists who have a body of work to present to the public.  Artist participants were asked to submit the following 3 components for the “Solo Art Series” competition: 1. Their art.  2. Their artist biography.  3.  Their artist statement.  These elements were evaluated and judged, which resulted in the selection of the artists who are featured in individual month-long solo art exhibitions.

Below are Stuti’s Artist Biography, her Artist Statement, along with 24 of her mixed media oil paintings. We hope that you will take the time to read Stuti’s information and to take a look at his art.

Artist Biography

Stuti Gupta is, a distinguished mixed media oil painter who creates artwork that bridges the gap between nature and fantasy. Through her work, Stuti paints a compelling narrative of our collective human experience, showcasing our deep-rooted interconnectedness with the world in mysterious ways. Stuti's work is a testament to her passion for the natural world and its often-undervalued beauty. Her art is characterized by the inclusion of visual and tactile texture, enhancing the viewer's sense of engagement and immersion.

Beyond her artistic endeavours, Stuti is a staunch advocate for animal rights. Her commitment to this cause is reflected in her contribution to the local community, having painted a mural for a local animal shelter and organized a live painting fundraiser to support the shelter's commendable efforts.

Exhibiting a profound understanding of the human condition intertwined with a deep respect for nature, Stuti's artistic oeuvre transcends conventional boundaries, making her a compelling voice in contemporary art. Her work, imbued with a sense of purpose and an unwavering dedication to her craft, continues to inspire audiences.

Artist Statement

In my art, I express the deep love I have for creativity. Since I was a child, I have been fascinated by the endless possibilities of different artistic mediums. I love playing with textures and experimenting with paint to bring mood and emotion to my pieces. I begin with layers of spray paints, inks and acrylic washes to lay a foundation of visual textures. To bring brightness and vibrancy to my paintings, I end them with luscious layers of oil paint.

The beauty of nature is a major source of inspiration for me, especially the incredible wildlife that surrounds us. I’m also deeply intrigued by the mysteries of the cosmos and the wonders that lie beyond our world. Through symbolism, metaphors and visual elements, I strive to reflect the deep truths of the universe and our responsibility as humans to care for our planet while reaching beyond the stars.
