From the HeART a Solo Art Show by CynnocenceHAMILTON, ONTARIO, CANADA – August 15, 2012 - / Cynnocence is very pleased to announce her first solo art show which will be held at the 337 Sketch Gallery, located in North Hamilton, Ontario, at the end of September 2012.

In her first solo show Cynnocence reveals her mercurial temperament, a product of her Irish/Scottish heritage. Rosslyn Castle, with textured shades of red, home to her clan Sinclair, created with encaustic, evokes the spirit of the early Celts.

A Hamilton-based artist, Cynnocence brings over 30 years working experience to her art. She creates in her home studio and uses many media, including watercolour, pastel, ink, acrylics, handmade paper collages and actualizing zentangles, but predominantly encaustics, to capture feelings and emotions of herself and those around her. Cynnocence’s career resulted in the honing of her inherent skills to interact with and read others. Come and see the wonderful way in which she expresses this.

She has appeared in three group shows at Sunrise Gallery, two shows at 435 Gallery, 337 Sketch Gallery, the Oakville Art Society, Oakville Chamber Music Society and the QEPPP in Oakville. In addition, she has also received two Honorable Mention Awards from the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery.

The opening of the show will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will be open daily from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM until September 28, 2012. The 337 Sketch Gallery is located at 337 Ottawa Street, North Hamilton, Ontario, L8H 3Z8. For further information call 1 (905) 966-2892.

Cynnocence was born an artist and will die an artist. Whether it is written or spoken language; or the colour I apply on canvas, I have always been a creator. Earliest on were the magic of crayons, the vibrant colours of my first Crayola pack with built in sharpener. I moved on to Oil and Chalk pastels and as my academics and career outran my use of these media, they were replaced by words and language and the song of poetry.

Cynnocence states this about here art, “winding down my 31 year career, I reintroduced myself to paint. Acrylic allowed me the freedom of the colours and textures and the mediums added provided much of the flexibility of oils. Attending workshops and working in my own studio, I painted prolifically. And then came encaustics. A weekend workshop introduced me to the medium of wax, full circle really. Somewhat more sophisticated than my box of Crayola, but the inherent material was the same, wax.

Cynnocence lives with her cats (Mom, Son, Sephy, Munchkin and Ruby George) and her husband (Jose) in Hamilton, Ontario. More of her beautiful and inspiring art can be found at her website
