Artist News - Renée LaVerné Rose’s Color in Heaven CollectionCHICAGO, IL – January 7, 2013 / - Renée LaVerné Rose is pleased to announce the debut of her Color in Heaven Collection at the Mary-Frances and Bill Veeck Gallery (Catholic Theological Union). The Color in Heaven Exhibition (two person exhibit) will run January 16, 2013 - March 31, 2013.

The name “Color in Heaven Collection” was selected for this particular body of works because the audience would immediately have some frame of reference to the subject of religion and people of color. She was motived to create a body of works that would nurture the right climate were the audience can expand their spiritual conscious and embrace diverse spiritual concepts and believes.

Renée LaVerné describes herself as a renaissance woman from being exposed by her parents to continual intellectually stimulation, traveling internationally to experience cultural diversity, enjoying all visual and performing arts, and encouraging herself to become fully engaged in the world around her.

ARTIST NEWS - Renée LaVerné Rose in 7th Highland Park Art WalkGLENCOE, IL, May 6, 2012 / - Renée LaVerné Rose, emerging artist, was accepted to the 7th Annual Highland Park Art Walk Juried Exhibition. The juried panel selected her artwork titled “The Peaceful Nature of Things” which will be shown at the event during the month of June 2012. 

The 7th Annual Highland Park Art Walk is a juried exhibition of artwork by Illinois artists displayed in storefront windows and businesses in Highland Park, IL from June 1 through June 30, 2012. The Highland Park Art Walk artists will greet visitors at their display locations and many Highland Park merchants will serve refreshments and/or offer promotional discounts. 

Following the art walk event, there will be a “Party with the Artist” reception held on Saturday, June 16, 2012, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Blue Rose Gallery, 667 Central Avenue, Highland Park, IL.
