Barbara Puto is a Polish visual artist working in watercolor and acrylic. She is an electrical engineer, a manager in the energy sector, and an MBA graduate. Alongside her professional career, she has developed an artistic practice focused on light, structure, and relationships.
Her work explores natural systems, interdependence, and quiet forms of intelligence found in the natural world. She is a recipient of the Certificate of Artistic Achievement – Luxembourg Art Prize 2025 and has participated in institutional and gallery exhibitions. Her artworks have been recognized in international online art competitions, including Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery.
Mikrokosmos is a watercolor series inspired by slime molds—tiny organisms that have survived for 1.5 billion years through cooperation, complex relationships, and collective action. Their quiet intelligence, adaptability, and ability to communicate form a natural metaphor for connection.
The series is built from organic shapes, flowing structures, and light-driven color. Watercolor is a deliberate choice: its transparency and unpredictability allow forms to spread, merge, and leave traces, much like natural processes.
Each painting reflects qualities often associated with humans—openness, perception, connection, coherence, and closeness—inviting reflection on how the strength of life emerges through relationships and mutual support.
