Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that Jiaxin Chen has been named as the Gallery’s new featured artist and she will now be promoted by the gallery for the next 14 days in the gallery’s Artist Showcase.
Jiaxin is an award-winning photographer and mixed media artist based in London, UK and China. She was selected as 1 of the top twelve finalists in the gallery’s 31st Solo Art Exhibition Series. The placement in this competition qualified her work to be showcased in this feature.
Her Artist Showcase feature will be promoted to hundreds of major news outlets. In addition, the gallery will also be featuring and promoting her artwork in the gallery’s various social media networks for further exposure.
Below are Jiaxin’s Artist Biography, Artist Statement and 5 of her mixed media collages submitted to this competition.
Jiaxin Chen is a visual artist working with photography, mixed media, and material experimentation. Her practice transforms images into tactile forms that embody memory, fragility and rhythm. In her recent series The City’s Breathe: Folded Lights of Hong Kong, she interlaces cyanotype prints with the traditional craft of Yongchun paper weaving, fusing digital pixels with woven grids to reveal the layered pulse of urban life. Chen’s work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions internationally, engaging audiences in dialogues that connect ancient craft with contemporary media. She currently lives and works between the United Kingdom and China.
My practice investigates the tension between photography and material, image and object. I am interested in the fragility of photographs, how they can be folded, interwoven or fractured, yet still preserve light and memory within their surfaces. By combining cyanotype printing with Yongchun paper weaving, I reconfigure photographic fragments into grid-like structures where order collides with disruption and clarity dissolves into blur. This process reflects the unstable rhythms of the city, structured yet fragile, immediate yet historical. I aim to reimagine urban space not as fixed representation but as a living organism, breathing with memory, contradiction and transformation. Through repetition, distortion and rhythm, my work challenges photography’s boundaries and invites viewers to encounter the image as something material, unstable and alive.

The “Solo Art Series” highlights the work of established artists, who have a body of work to showcase, through a series of online monthly solo exhibitions. Artist participants were asked to submit the following 3 components for the “Solo Art Series” competition: 1. Their art. 2. Their artist biography. 3. Their artist statement. A careful evaluation of the submissions led to the selection of four artists for month-long solo shows, ensuring a diverse range of artistic styles and approaches would be featured.
Presented below are Wu,Pei-Han's artist biography and statement, together with 16 of her art-gypsum clay and fibers sculptures. We encourage you to peruse her information and admire her art.
Wu,Pei-Han is a fashion and art creator. She specializes in creating various styles and mixed-media artworks and is proficient in character styling. Her works particularly emphasize the expression of feminine perspectives and use elegant, romantic symbols as metaphors, integrating the concept of memory into depictions of real-life situations. Over the past few years, she has applied this technique to interpret more than a hundred creations. Her technical approach blends design with artistic aesthetics, skillfully and successfully shaping the overall stylistic characteristics, giving the styled images a new form of life, awakening the soul of the characters, and aiming to enhance the audience’s possibilities for interpretation and storytelling while capturing their hearts.
The "River of Primordial Chaos" series explores the nature of life, consciousness, and time. The river serves as a metaphor for time—it never ceases, carrying fragments of memories, emotions, and life itself, flowing from its source toward an unknown destination. However, this river is not clear or orderly; it is "chaotic"—filled with primal energy, uncertain possibilities, conflicting emotions, and forgotten dreams.
This series primarily uses plaster and fiber as materials to create a dialogue of matter:
Plaster: Represents "solidification" and "structure." It is hard, heavy, and fragile—like the concrete memories in our lives, the frameworks we build, societal norms, or wounds that have already hardened. Its white purity also carries a quiet sense of death.
Fiber: Represents "flow" and "connection." It is soft, light, and resilient—like threads of emotion, the flow of the subconscious, neural networks, or those undefinable, ever-changing parts of life. It can be both a binding constraint and a gentle shelter.
Through the tension, fusion, and opposition between the "form" of plaster and the "formlessness" of fiber, this series materializes the chaotic river that rushes within each of us—a force that both creates and destroys.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that Maureen Ravnik has been named as the Gallery’s new featured artist and she will now be promoted by the gallery for the next 14 days in the gallery’s Artist Showcase.
Maureen is an award-winning photographer based in Colorado, USA.
Below are Maureen’s Artist Biography, Artist Statement and 5 of her photographs submitted to this competition.
Maureen Ravnik was born and raised in Minnesota. She attended the University of Colorado to pursue a career in sales & marketing. Working and traveling a lot in that discipline opened her eyes to the wonders of the American west and reawakened childhood tendencies to creatively document her discoveries. She began making images of the American west in hopes of preserving the history, the culture, and the dreams that shaped the west. Maureen has placed in the Audubon International Top 250, local, national, international juried photography exhibitions, monthly club competitions, and state park calendars. Her images have been selected for use by the City of Littleton, and National Geographic for publication, as well as several newspapers. She has co-authored 2 books that document the history of the second largest natural area in the country. Maureen has also served as a juror for the Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts in Colorado.
My methods and techniques are largely self-taught. I am deeply inspired by the work of Ansel Adams and Art Wolfe. My work is also derived from my imagination. My greatest satisfaction comes from taking the file from camera to computer to develop composites. The results reflect my personal feelings, beliefs, events, culture, etc. that are best expressed through artistic interpretations. My work is delivered in an array of styles that arc between realism, passionately abstract and doggedly figurative. These diverse styles are represented in my Solo Art Series submission.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that Jason Shih has been named as the Gallery’s new featured artist and he will now be promoted by the gallery for the next 14 days in the gallery’s Artist Showcase.
Jason is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning sculptor based in Taiwan. He was selected as 1 of the top twelve finalists in the gallery’s 31st Solo Art Exhibition Series. The placement in this competition qualified his artwork to be showcased in this feature.
His Artist Showcase feature will be promoted to hundreds of major news outlets. In addition, the gallery will also be featuring and promoting his artwork in the gallery’s various social media networks for further exposure.
Below are Jason’s Artist Biography, Artist Statement and 5 of his artworks submitted to this competition.
Jason Shih was born in 1972 in Lukang Town, Taiwan, renowned for its traditional crafts. He relocated to Taipei City during his school years and attended art classes at Minzu Elementary School, Minglun Junior High School, and Zhongzheng High School. In 1991, Jason enrolled in the Fine Arts Department of National Taipei University of the Arts, studying sculpture under Professor Lee Kuang-yu and graduating in 1996.
Following his military service, he pursued further education at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, USA, studying metal sculpture under Leonard A. Urso at the School for American Crafts, where he earned his MFA degree in 2001. Subsequently, he served as an assistant to renowned New York metal sculptor Albert Paley, gaining valuable experience in metal crafts and large-scale public arts.
Returning to Taiwan in 2002, Jason embarked on a prolific career in public art. Over the next two decades, he completed over 80 large-scale public art projects in Taiwan. His international engagements included residencies at the Wangsan Kaitian Festival in South Korea (2003), JamFactory Contemporary Craft and Design in Adelaide, Australia (2004), and as the inaugural artist-in-residence at the New Taipei City Gold Museum (2008).
Alongside his creative endeavors, Jason pursued advanced studies in art theory, earning his Ph.D. from the China Academy of Art in 2015 and an MBA from National Taiwan Normal University in 2022. With a diverse cultural background spanning Taiwan, the United States, and mainland China, and extensive professional training in fine arts, crafts, public art, and management, Jason decided in 2022 to refocus on his sculpture creations. He currently resides in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, continuing to explore the diverse realms of sculpture and public art.
Sculpture, to me, is about interpreting the beauty of light and shadow, rhythm and volume through the visual techniques of color, shape, and texture. The qualities I pursue as a sculptor—those that touch people's hearts—are actually as abstract as temperature and smell, yet rich in profound penetrating power. This aura that directly points to people's hearts, and the aesthetic sense that makes people enter the drama in resonance, may also be like nostalgia, embodied in the longing of seeing things and thinking about them, and the timid expectation of being close to home.
Sea breeze, mountain mist, morning sun, sunset—in addition to shape and color, there is also the memory of temperature. Cooking smoke, hot soup, wooden tables, pottery cups—the echo of smell is the gradual tone of nostalgia. In our daily aesthetic experience, the memory of temperature and smell accompanied by touch often becomes a kind of fuse to revisit the journey of old dreams. My work in sculpture creation is to "condense" and record all kinds of beautiful presence in this beautiful time and space in an appropriate way and with true emotions.
My artistic vision is shaped by a diverse array of influences, from contemporary dance to avant-garde fashion. I cite German choreographer Pina Bausch and British designer Alexander McQueen as significant inspirations. Bausch's explorations of time and space resonate with my interest in sculpture's capacity to embody kinetic energy and spatial imagination. McQueen's innovative approach to contemporary imagery and themes provides me with a broad canvas for creative expression.
My work is also influenced by the aesthetic principles of Futurism and Constructivism, movements that emphasize dynamic energy and continuous motion. These influences are evident in my pursuit of capturing the beauty of movement and the elegant restraint of natural forces. My sculptures often depict moments of defying gravity, capturing the fleeting beauty of motion in a static form.
As a professional sculptor, I like to experience the taste of life with perceptual observation in subtle moments, and I also enjoy the ever-changing situation of game shapes in poetic imaginary space. For me, art creation is about sharing various moods and stories in daily life.

A careful evaluation of the submissions led to the selection of four artists for month-long solo shows, ensuring a diverse range of artistic styles and approaches would be featured.
Presented below are Penny's artist biography and statement, together with 25 of her Neon Sea Creatures series of digital illustrations. We encourage you to peruse Penny's information and admire her art.
Artist Penny FireHorse is an award-winning healing artist whose creative journey is rooted in a profound connection to nature, spirituality, and the transformative power of creativity. Her work spans vibrant acrylic swipe paintings, hand-painted glassware, pottery, digital illustrations, and functional art. With an Art Therapy certification, she approaches each creation with the intention of fostering calm, mindfulness, and meaningful connection.
Color is at the heart of everything Artist Penny FireHorse does. She uses it as a language to express emotions, invite reflection, and celebrate the resilience of life. Whether she's painting a canvas, designing a piece of functional art, or creating digitally, her goal is always the same: to create work that resonates deeply with people and reminds them of beauty, hope, and inner strength.
Over the years, her art has received meaningful recognition. She was honored with a ribbon and cash award for her digital illustration Sunrise Rose at Art Explosion, presented by the Federal Way Arts Commission. Her fine art print Floating Dandelions was selected for a public traffic wrap installation, bringing art into everyday community life. Earlier this year, she was also celebrated with an article plaque feature in the Chicago Weekly. These honors affirm her mission to make art accessible, healing, and impactful.
At the heart of Artist Penny FireHorse’s practice is the Heart of Colors Project, a deeply personal journey that reflects her belief in the healing and unifying power of creativity. Through this project and all of her work, she strives to inspire hope, spark joy, and create space for reflection. Sharing this vision with the world—one piece of expressive hope at a time—is both her calling and her greatest passion.
The Neon Sea Creatures Series emerged from a lifelong fascination with the ocean and its mysterious, ever-changing beauty. Growing up mesmerized by the colors and movement of sea life, I have always felt a deep connection to the water—a place of healing, wonder, and transformation. Living near the Pacific Northwest coastline only amplifies that connection; the rhythm of the tides and the sheer power of the sea continually inspire my creative process.
This series was loosely inspired by a memory of Greg Norman’s iconic shark logo, which captured a bold, sleek energy that stayed with me through the years. I wanted to take that spark and reimagine it through my own lens—infusing sea creatures with vibrant neon hues, flowing shapes, and dynamic compositions that reflect both strength and fluidity.
My process begins intuitively, layering movement and color to bring each creature to life. I work with five distinct pastel tones in these digital illustrations, allowing them to mimic the way light dances across the water, while the shapes pulse with a rhythm that feels almost audible, like the heartbeat of the ocean itself. Each piece takes on a second life when viewed under a black light, glowing in the dark with an otherworldly luminescence that transforms the sea creatures into radiant, dreamlike beings.
The Neon Sea Creatures Series is ultimately about wonder. It’s about seeing familiar forms—the octopus, the seahorse, the whales, the sharks—with fresh eyes, reimagined in glowing tones that invite the viewer into a surreal underwater world. These works celebrate both memory and imagination, grounded in my love for the ocean and carried by the vibrant energy of color and light.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that Netta Ganor has been named as the Gallery’s new featured artist and she will now be promoted by the gallery for the next 14 days in the gallery’s Artist Showcase.
Netta Ganor is an award-winning self-taught artist based in Israel. She was selected as 1 of the top twelve finalists in the gallery’s 31st Solo Art Exhibition Series. The placement in this competition qualified her artwork to be showcased in this feature.
Her Artist Showcase feature will be promoted to hundreds of major news outlets. In addition, the gallery will also be featuring and promoting her artwork in the gallery’s various social media networks for further exposure.
Below are Netta’s Artist Biography, Artist Statement and 5 of her oil on canvas paintings submitted to this competition.
Netta Ganor, born on October 28, 1979, is an accomplished mouth painter overcoming paralysis with her artistic spirit. A self-taught painter, she joined the international Association of the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists in 2003, attaining Associate Membership in 2015. Netta authored and illustrated three children's books published by the association. Her vibrant and detailed oil paintings, reflecting an optimistic reality, have been showcased in numerous group exhibitions and solo shows.
A member of the local association for Visual Arts, Netta, with a BA in Computer Science and an MBA in Information Systems, balances her work in the hi-tech industry, marriage and motherhood. Her story intertwines the realms of technology and art, defining her as a unique and inspiring artist.
Painting is where I find my independence. Without the use of my hands, the brush in my mouth becomes an extension of myself, making me feel like I’m transcending my physical confines. My style is romantic-realistic, focusing on emotion and capturing intricate details that portray the beauty I discover in my surroundings. I enjoy painting my children and the experiences of motherhood with a physical challenge. With a palette of bold, saturated hues, my optimistic artworks reflect a positive outlook on life. I am drawn to figurative painting - people, gestures and expressions - because to me, a painting without human presence often feels incomplete. Through my paintings, I also challenge perceptions of disability, showing that life with a disability can be full, rich, and meaningful.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that Sy Phelan has been named as the Gallery’s new featured artist and he will now be promoted by the gallery for the next 14 days in the gallery’s Artist Showcase.
Sy Phelan is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist based in northern New Jersey, working across photography, painting, and mixed media. With over two decades of creative practice, she creates emotionally resonant work that explores memory, identity, and overlooked moments of beauty.
Below are Sy’s Artist Biography, Artist Statement and 5 of her ink on paper artworks submitted to this competition.
Sy Phelan earned her BFA from Marywood University and began her career as both an exhibiting artist and art educator. Over the years she has shown her work in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and her art has been recognized in juried competitions and publications across the U.S. and abroad.
Her practice is defined by a balance of versatility and focus. As a multidisciplinary artist, she is comfortable working in a range of media, from conceptual ink series to award-winning architectural photography. At the same time, she continues to return to the meditative discipline of pointillism – an art form that demands patience, precision, and a devotion to detail. This meticulous approach reflects her larger artistic philosophy: to uncover meaning in the small, often overlooked fragments of life.
Throughout her career, Phelan has been drawn to subjects that hold memory, presence, or culture resonance. Whether through painstakingly rendered illustrations, carefully composed photographs, or mixed-media works, her art invites viewers to slow down, look closer, and find connection in what might otherwise be passed by.
Her work has been recognized for its emotional tone, technical rigor, and conceptual depth, earning honors in international competitions and gaining attention in both online and print platforms. Prints, originals, and commissioned pieces are offered through her studio, and she continues to welcome opportunities for collaboration and exhibition.
This series of pointillism drawings pays tribute to my enduring love of photography and to the tools that shaped my earliest experiences as an artist. Trained on a manual film camera long before the invention of digital photography, I found those early encounters with light, lenses, and film to be both grounding and transformative. Working with vintage cameras still feels like home to me. They are not just machines – they are works of art in themselves, crafted with a precision and elegance that boarders on architecture.
As both an artist and a collector of vintage cameras, I am continually inspired by their tangible presence. To me, they are poetry in metal and glass – functional objects elevated by design into symbols of memory, storytelling, and human ingenuity. In rendering them through pointillism, I honor not only their form, but also the patience and craftsmanship that went into their creation.
Pointillism, as a medium, feels inseparable from the subject. Just as a photograph emerges from countless grains of film, these drawings emerge from countless dots of ink. The technique demands stillness, dedication, and focus – qualities that mirror both the experience of taking a photograph and the labor of those who built these instruments of vision. Each mark becomes a meditation, a way of slowing down and reflecting on how detail builds meaning.
What viewers take from this work will always be their own. Yet I hope these pieces invite a pause, a moment of reflection on the remarkable ingenuity of those who came before us and on the value of patience in a fast-moving world. These cameras, though relics of another era, remind us that memory and artistry are built not in haste but in layers – whether in film grain, in dots of ink, or in the moments we choose to document.

Paola will now have a month-long solo art exhibition, and she will be featured on the gallery’s front page, on the Gallery’s YouTube Channel, as well as in the “Solo Art Series” Archive.

Paola’s art will also be featured on the gallery’s YouTube Channel, and with an event postcard.
The “Solo Art Series” is a series of monthly solo art exhibitions for established artists who have a body of work to present to the public. Artist participants were asked to submit the following 3 components for the “Solo Art Series” competition: 1. Their art. 2. Their artist biography. 3. Their artist statement. These elements were evaluated and judged, resulting in the selection of the artists who will be featured in individual month-long solo art exhibitions.
Below are Paola’s Artist Biography and her Artist Statement, along with 12 of her paintings. We hope that you will take the time to read her information and to take a look at her mixed media artwork.
Paola Magini was born in Siena and dedicated herself to drawing and painting since she was a child, but she received her first artistic training at the Duccio di Buoninsegna Art Institute in Siena.
After a year at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, she learned the technique of fresco and mural paintings with the painter Paolo Graziani, who led her to create numerous private and public works throughout the country, practicing painting at a professional level, participating in exhibitions and winning competitions for the creation of public artworks.
A list of all her exhibitions and public works can be found on her website.
The general style of the works is influenced by various geographical and historical cultural elements, but more accentuated by the decorative elements of Islamic culture, sometimes mixed with graphic elements belonging to the present period and others from Renaissance and Flemish art. The works are formally figurative and realistic, with a dreamlike atmosphere and ‘suspended’ in time.
Some symbolic elements are frequently present in the paintings that refer to the underlying spiritual message. Among these are doors, water or fountains (symbols often present in the Scriptures) as well as other elements typical of the artist’s personal iconography. The people depicted are a synthesis of future and past humanity, dressed in vintage clothes and hairstyles, but full of tattoos and with hair often as colorful as humanity of the present time.
“The purpose of my work, in addition to satisfying the creative need that I have felt since I was a child, consists in wanting to push people to make an in-depth reflection on the importance of spirituality in their lives, as a healthier approach to oppose the rampant materialism in today’s society.
A society that pushes people to the most unbridled individualism and consumerism, a lifestyle that clearly damages people’s mental health. Through the teaching of the Scriptures and a serious meditation on society and its behaviors, one can achieve a new awareness and hope for the future.”
Technically, the paintings are generally made on wood with a mixed technique of oil and acrylic colors, together with gold leaf

His poetry has appeared in The New Yorker, Poetry, The Tampa Review, and Ambit. He has published three volumes of poetry: Horses on Drums (Red Hen Press, 2006), Flip Days (Red Hen Press, 2009) and Brownwood (Tupelo Press, 2016).
Lawrence created a series of literary documentaries for the National Endowment for the Arts “Big Read” initiative, which includes profiles of Ray Bradbury, Amy Tan, Tobias Wolff, and Cynthia Ozick.
I am a forager—of poetic observations, let’s say. Forager of change. I seek Ovid, that greatest unmasker of form and spirit. My search is mischievous, restless, and constant.
In my work, I deliberately employ shock, but only as a way to reveal truth in human behavior. Photographic truth is poetic, and poetic truth is justice. There is no “fake truth” at the end of a pencil or lens. We suffer, therefore we love, and therefore we protect one another. This is the burden of self-consciousness.
My photographs attempt to unmask thoughts and images as they shift before me at high speed. I despair only when I cannot capture them before they disappear—but even that failure often leads to another photograph, one as strange and rich as the mind’s movement through time.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that Diane Walker has been named as the Gallery’s new featured artist and she will now be promoted by the gallery for the next 14 days in the gallery’s Artist Showcase.
Diane is an award-winning artist and photographer based in Washington, USA. She was selected as 1 of the top twelve finalists in the gallery’s 30th Solo Art Exhibition Series. The placement in this competition qualified her work to be showcased in this feature.
Her Artist Showcase feature will be promoted to hundreds of major news outlets. In addition, the gallery will also be featuring and promoting her artwork in the gallery’s various social media networks for further exposure.
Below are Diane’s Artist Biography, Artist Statement and 5 of her acrylic abstract paintings submitted to this competition.
After 20 years as a professional photographer, Diane Walker began studying abstract painting with Christopher Mathie. She took additional courses with a variety of artists, including Louise Fletcher, Kasia Kresika, Jane Davies and Cat Tesla, and — because she lives on the shores of the Pacific Northwest —became fascinated with the artists of St. Ives and particularly David Mankin’s abstract seascapes.
Combining insights from her daily contemplative practice with her love of the sea and her broadening awareness of artistic media, Diane approaches her time in the studio as an opportunity not only to experiment with color, form, and line, but also to create an immersive sense of the fluidity and drama of the sea along with its underlying stillness.
Working primarily in acrylics, she creates atmospheric, meditative work that is rooted in stillness and invites viewers into a contemplative space — open, calming, and quietly alive with sparks of inspiration to inspire the imagination.
A member of Women Painters of Washington and the Port Ludlow Art League, Diane regularly displays her award-winning work in galleries, hospitals, and festivals around Washington State.
For me the most intriguing creative challenges in life, at work, and in art have always been about reconciling opposites: finding the common ground beneath obvious differences and unearthing the potential for unity that lies hidden in diversity.
As an abstract painter I work to accomplish those objectives, first by working with the opposite shades of blue and orange, and then by balancing dark and light, form and space, movement and stillness. I use a mix of broad house paint brushes and delicate calligraphy brushes, responding to what evolves on the canvas, and the end result, though unplanned, often tends to reflect the quiet undulations of sea and sky that are such an integral part of my life on the coast of the Pacific Northwest.
My hope is that in balancing opposites in a serene context I may bring forth artistry that not only pleases the eye but also awakens a more open and creative response in my viewers, allowing them to imagine a world where dreams and reality can co-exist in peaceful harmony.
What delights me as an artist is to dance in that thin space between the formless and form; to drift from individual to universal and back again; to trace the interaction between our collective understanding of the world and my own unique experience of what pleases or inspires.
Which means that, for me, a painting succeeds if it is neither fully representational nor completely abstract, but calls the viewer into some other healing space where we can both make and safely explore our assumptions about what we see.

Jane’s work is featured in both private and corporate collections, as well as in museums, public spaces, art galleries, and all the International Art Expos. Her art is in countless permanent collections, magazines, books, and internet articles and art sites.
I have been expressing my joy of art with paint, shapes and colors since I was very young. I started as a painter, evolved into a photographer, and eventually began hand-painting on individual Cibachrome photographic prints over 35 years ago.
Before Photoshop, I found a way to express an unrealistic reality with the vivid, saturated, and otherworldly colors.
For the past 50 years, I have been scanning my one-of-a-kind hand-painted prints and my library of 35mm Kodachrome color transparencies taken while traveling the world.
I paint, combine, and enhance my photographs with the magical Photoshop, creating my own idyllic, colorful world!

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that David Mason has been named as the Gallery’s new featured artist and he will now be promoted by the gallery for the next 14 days in the gallery’s Artist Showcase.
David is an award-winning self-taught, mixed media artist based in Truckee, California, USA.
Below are David’s Artist Biography, Artist Statement and 5 of his mixed media artworks submitted to this competition.
David Mason’s parents were both artists, and living in Carmel provided a creatively rich upbringing for him. His early exposure to photography, starting around the age of ten, shaped his distinctive artistic perspective and eye. David was always drawing and self-teaching.
He studied applied art and design with a focus on photography at Cal Poly SLO. He entered the restaurant industry to allow himself the space to discover his direction and style, using his nighttime job to fund his artistic pursuits.
He showcased his art in galleries across California and Scottsdale, Arizona, creating opportunities for himself. He's faced slow periods and difficulties, yet he's been consistently productive in recent years, creating his most captivating work.
I have a thing for realism and minimalism. With my background in photography I see things within a frame. By learning to focus on what’s primary in a scene and just develop that imagery it doesn’t need a bigger context or classic scene. This lets the viewer imagine their own context and story. That’s what can make a piece personal to each viewer.
I learn as I go, improving my technique and how I use color. Experimenting more with texture and classic looks. Always trying to achieve new levels of harmony and finesse. Since I’m self-taught I’ve figured out a mixture of media that I use to achieve my drawings. Through mixing and layering color pencil I have found a painterly style to make my affects happen.
