Brian Binder is mostly a self-taught artist. He was raised in Colorado. In Colorado, you are surrounded by many different environments and animals. From plains to mountains and, yes, even sand dunes Brian’s focus is on wildlife and domestic animals in interesting and beautiful settings. He spends hours creating the soul of the animal through its eyes. The eyes are what gives the drawing it's heart and soul.
Brian usually sees the animal in one habitat and then draws them in a different environment that he thinks they would prefer to be in. Sometimes it is a shock what a drawing turn into because it is opposite of what he thought it might when he started. Brian only uses pencil and color pencils to create his works. He does not use solvents for blending in order not to damage the paper.
Brian hope everyone who views his work feel the enjoyment he gets out creating each piece.
In my artwork, I try to capture the spirit of the animal. I like to invoke humor, deep thought, or positive vibes through the animal to the viewer.
Brian’s art can be found on his website.
