PASADENA, CA - February 17, 2012 / -- Jon Holiday is pleased to announce the acceptance of "Beauty and the Door" into the next show at the Pasadena location of the Linus Gallery. This image in particular is perhaps the most prolific of all his images, garnering several international honors. 2010 was a banner year for wildflowers in central Texas, so this sight in Pontotoc of a beautiful rustic building with wildflowers in the foreground was an instant draw. In post-processing, Jon did prefer to add a few filters to enhance the color, contrast, and texture of the building.
The theme of the gallery show is "Beauty Comes in Many Forms". This is a juried competition where they chose the best artists, but has an added feature where they ask the audience to decide on the best artists from those showing. The juried results are quite varied and are represented by artists from around the world. The wine reception is Friday, February 17th, 5:30-9pm, and beyond that the gallery is open by appointment. It is located at 545 S. Raymond Avenue, Pasadena, CA, and their website is www.linusgallery.com.
Here's a great opportunity for LA area art lovers to see some "beautiful" art of all kinds, and also, anyone who attends this show can express their "likes" while enjoying a glass of wine.
