GEORGETOWN, TX – September 13, 2014 - / - Nancy Sullins is very pleased to announce that her artwork has recently been chosen for The Great Outdoors Art Exhibit which is to be held in this September in Georgetown, Texas. Her artwork titled “Ocotillo and the Chisos” has been selected to be part of the Great Outdoors exhibition which will be held at the Georgetown Art Center. The Great Outdoors exhibit is a collection of juried art work and includes the work of 35 artists from Texas and beyond. All of the selected works are about nature and the great outdoors. The exhibit runs from September 5th through September 28, 2014 with an artists’ reception being held on Saturday, September 13th from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. For further information call 512-930-2583. Nancy Sullins has played with photography on and off most of her life. Starting with a Kodak Brownie in grade school where her father taught her to develop film and print the images using a home-made enlarger in a family bathroom/darkroom. It’s been years since then and photography has changed but the basic principles remain. Following several life changing events Nancy chose to develop her passion further and the fruit of her love is now being presented.
Nancy finds pleasure in taking a moment in time and turning it into something memorable. Her favorite subjects include wildlife, landscapes, botanicals, and agriculture. She strives to excite the viewer’s senses through either drawing them into the image or tickling their sense of humor.

Recently Nancy received her first Special Recognition Award from the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery in the 4th Annual SeaScapes Art Exhibition with her work titled “Rocky Beach” which is a photograph taken along the California coast.
