SALIDA, CO – October 1, 2013 / Susan Spohn is pleased to announce that she will have an exhibit titled the “Susan Spohn – On Review” and it is to be held at the Paquette Gallery in Salida, Colorado. The opening event will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 5PM to 7PM.
What happens when a small art gallery suddenly has a cancellation for a month long featured showing? In a small town, they start calling dependable artists to help out.
Artist Susan Spohn recalls the following, “I recently received a phone call from the local Paquette Gallery in Salida, Colorado. The gallery had an artist who had just canceled their show for the month of October and would I be interested in displaying my work? Wild thoughts of how could I manage to pull together a one person showing and still continue displaying at my outdoor art festivals raced through my mind. Yes." I heard my voice say into the phone. Then began the race to finish paintings, frame, print title cards, and arrange for the reception. Posters were printed, postcards mailed and the show is quickly being set-up.”

A Reception will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 5PM to 7PM and all interested persons are cordially invited to attend this event.
About the Artist
Susan Spohn lives and creates in Salida, Colorado, a small, artistic town, that seems to be filled with a large and dynamic group of artists. Susan works out of a tiny upstairs studio that overlooks telephone poles, the alley, backyards, some trees, garden pots, birds, and a lot of squirrels. To Susan, “It is my private window on the world. Ordinary, but somehow magic happens. I paint mainly in oils, but recently, acrylics have had a part of my studio time.
