NEW YORK, NY – December 1, 2013 / Toni Silber-Delerive is pleased to announce that her painting "NYC Roof Pool" will be part of the Blue Mountain Gallery Juried Exhibition. Twenty five artists working in a range of styles and media have been selected by Andrea Wells, Director of the Tibor de Nagy Gallery, an important Manhattan gallery.
Blue Mountain Gallery is pleased to announce their first national Juried Exhibition. Blue Mountain Gallery was founded in 1980. The gallery’s exhibitions are frequently reviewed in the city and national press. Invitational art shows are a part of the gallery’s outreach to the artist community. With this juried exhibition, they have expanded the opportunity to exhibit in the Chelsea area of New York City.
Toni’s painting "NYC Roof Pool" is an aerial view of the roof of a Manhattan residential building with a pool and terraces. It tells the story of a certain urban lifestyle and the flattening of the picture plane reduces the details to their graphic essence. It is a place of abandon viewed from on high and isolated from the busy city streets below.
The exhibit is at Blue Mountain Gallery, 530 West 25th St., # 403, New York, NY 10001 (646) 486-4730. The gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11AM – 6PM, December 3 - 21. The Reception will be held on Thursday, December 5th, 5PM to 8 PM. For further information, www.bluemountaingallery.org/juried-show-2013/
